Situated in the heart of downtown Manhattan, St. James has a long-standing tradition of "Fostering Values and Excellence in Education." After more than 150 years of service, St. James School continues to provide a superior Pre-K to 8th grade education, combining the best of current teaching and technology with traditional Catholic values in a warm and caring atmosphere.
The goals of the St. James community are to encourage students to enjoy learning, to develop self-discipline, to increase their organizational skills, to become socially conscious citizens, and, in time, to take responsibility for their own education. Morals and respect for others are enhanced as children work together in a multicultural atmosphere.
We believe these goals can be achieved through hard work, patience, and an active working relationship among parents, teachers, and students.
